My First Attempt at Meal Planning

When I first started it was trial and error. I used the keto beginner grocery list, did as much research as I could, but literally just jumped in head first and figured it out. MyFitnessPal and logging my food helped a lot. It helped me learn what was in the food I was consuming.
This was my first day - and I was surely not ready. I was over every macro and had no idea what I was doing. Obviously I was really hungry!

Things I learned:
1. Bulletproof coffee is literally your breakfast. I didn't need to eat an entire breakfast with it. I had over 700 calories before I even went to work!
2. I didn't need the extra snacks of cheese/almonds after already eating so much cheese the rest of the day.
3. I did ok other than overdoing it at breakfast and not balancing the rest of my day.
Other things I realized - vegetables have a lot of carbs!
One day for lunch I had a roasted chicken thigh, roasted broccoli, and roasted brussel sprouts. The broccoli and sprouts killed my carb allowance! I should have only had one.
I figured it out as I went. Balanced my meals. I started fasting in the AM, and skipped breakfast completely. Which allowed me to eat bigger meals for lunch/dinner.
Now doing One Meal a Day (OMAD), I eat just dinner. Which allows me to barely think about it. I just eat until I am full, log my food, and pay close attention to my carb intake. Makes my life easier - but it may be too strict for you!
Logging your food with teach you! It becomes second nature. Just do it!
