Keto Saved Me

It has been many years since I have taken care of myself. I won't go into detail because this blog is not for rehashing past sadness, depression or anything else for that matter. This blog is to keep me accountable. I started keto, in January 2019, to get a grip on my weight and my health. I have done the low carb thing before (mostly South Beach Diet) - so this was going to be a more extreme version but I was all in on day 1.
I started with three meals a day with snacks in between - the south beach way. About two weeks into the process I decided to try intermittent fasting and I was off to the races with the weight loss. 5 months later I am now OMAD (one meal a day), counting macros, working out and I have lost 42 lbs.
Throughout the process I have kept myself accountable by posting on Instagram. In that process, many of you have been messaging me for recipes, tips on how to get started, or just high fives throughout my journey.
So that is the reason for the blog! To share successful recipes, to share successful tips on keto and fasting. To share my menu, to share my experience. This is not a blog about feelings (other than excitement), its not a blog to tell you my entire day before showing you the ingredients to a recipe, its not a blog to bore you with anything other than Keto and how it has changed my life.
We are in this together, my friends, let's keto!
